The World's Highest-Paid Authors

At the top of "The World's Highest-Paid Authors" are Stephen King and Stephenie Meyer, the author of "Twilight".

James Patterson who is in first place, has won twice as many times as Danielle Steel, who is in second place.
Patterson earned 84 million of dollars last year.  In return,  Steel charged 35 million of dollars.
In third place we can find the horror and suspense writer Stephen King, who charged 28 million dollars. In fourth place is the author of romantic adventures, Janet Evanovich, with 22 million. In fifth place is the author of "Twilight", Stephenie Meyer, with 21 million of dollars.

Authors with the highest earning are entering  on to the electronic books market because nowadays is the fastest growing sector with in book publishing, while the hardcover books are suffering a prolonged slump.
