The Diary of Anne Frank was written by Anne Frank.

Anne Frank was born in 1929 in Frankfurt. When the Nazis were in power, she moved with her family to the Netherlands because they were Jews. The anti-Semitic laws started to apply there.

The Jews tried to avoid being arrested. The Frank family hid behind a secret door at the top of an old house in Amsterdam.

Anne wrote in her diary everything that was happening in her live. One day, Germans found them and they were arrested. The Germans brought the family to a concentration camp. Anne died early because of this. Her diary was published in 1946 by her father.

This book shows how terrible the Nazis were to the Jews.
